This print has been created by hand. Using vintage wooden type blocks. They are hand set, hand inked, and then handpressed using eco-friendly professional printing inks onto vintage maps.

I currently have the Yorkshire coast, Northumberland coast, Cornish coast and Norfolk coast printed and available. Lots of other coastlines in my map collections too!

Each one is printed by hand, by me, in my Yorkshire studio. Because all my prints are printed by hand this makes every single one of them a unique reproduction, and subtle variations will occur from print to print in the detail. For example different amounts of ink will transfer and the vintage nature of the wooden letter block show on the print. Also each map is of course unique too, they have been used and folded and so have their own patina. Which all mean that each print is unique, and to me is the whole beauty of the process and creation of handmade prints - no two prints are ever exactly the same! You get a piece of art that is individual and unique.

My prints are created in limited editions, so each print is hand numbered and signed by me in pencil.

Paper size: 29 cms x 21 cms which fits a standard off-the-shelf frame size

Ink: Professional rich gold printmakers ink

Each handmade print is signed embossed with my studio stamp.

To be really clear, you are purchasing the print ONLY. No frames or mounts included - framed and mounted prints shown in my images are for illustration purposes only. You can purchase frames (and mounts) for this size of print very easily and affordably. If you want any guidance or suggestions simply email me.

Packaging: All my prints come unframed, with a protective card backing, and wrapped in a clear protective compostable & biodegradable alternative to cellophane. No plastic here! Then packed inside a card backed envelope. Size A3 and above will come tissue wrapped and rolled in a carboard tube.

Postage: Prints are sent on a tracked service within the UK.

Planet: I want my print making to have the least impact on the plant as possible. So I use professional UK made vegetable oil based eco-friendly printmaking inks (and no solvents are used in the studio). All prints are sent to you in plastic-free packaging too.
